Well, after a quick trial, both myself and Paul are confident that the camping gear (and of course, minifridge) will fit in the back of the car.
The boot has gained a fair chunk of space now for tools and spares (and beer and cider), as I've built a spare wheel carrier; this fits onto the tow bar and rests on 2 brackets on the boot lid. It's hinged so we can still use the boot, of course.
And the new camcorder bracket looks like it'll do the job well, mounted to the driver's side headrest posts. Road trip movies will never be the same again.
We've also had a route change confirmed so we will be visiting Hamilton's car park on the Thursday of the run to see our colleagues up in that neck of the woods.
We've had a few more donations as well, after releasing details of the tour to the rest of our colleagues. We're still after some form of corporate style sponsorship to cover some of the costs of the run. If anyone has ideas, why not visit our "Buy the square inch" pages on the main website?
