We took over the visitor's car park, our tasks were assigned and the materials organised (including a couple of tons of Autoglym products) and we got to it. First job was hosing down the minibuses, which Barry took to with aplomb. A hose might have been better though, and luckily one was provided...
Sponging next, taking several people several attempts to clean each section as Barry was determined to rinse as everyone else was lathering and repeating.
Then, a generous application of T-cut by a number of other Lejoggers and John (Gracies_dad) got his big tool out and began to rub it all over the place. Chris (napoleon or bootlight) then followed up with his big vibrating duster and polished up each panel to a fine deep shine.
Meanwhile, the gazebo chain was built and the barbeque readied by other volunteers, and the shade and the grub were gratefully received once lunch was due.
After a bit of a relax and a look round the new minibus, we moved inside to the music room for a bit of a "meet the residents" thing, a chat with Alison and other staff and of course the long-awaited cream tea...
Then we all packed up and moved back to the campsite for a relax before the "off", tea at the Sunshine cafe and any last minute preparations. Some of us were treated to the relevation that Bertie was suffering with a bit of "Windypops" - so was I after that pizza at the Sunshine...
