47 days to go...

... and unfortunately some impromptu bodywork has had to be done over this weekend.

Having sorted out a nice set (or two) of new wheels, I was in the process of taking the old ones off. Due to one reason or another, I was trying to use the factory jack to lift the car, but it wasn't sat quite right in the jacking point on the sill.

Net result was a need for a new sill, which is what I've been trying to sort out.

So, with 47 days to go, the 8 floor repairs have been done, one new genuine sill is almost ready to go on and I'm nursing some interesting aches and pains due to some of the welding positions I found myself in - not to mention the odd battle scar picked up from exposed sharp bits.

But, with less than 7 weeks left I do still have time to finish it, then apart from sorting out the tools and re-packing the spares (and of course fitting the new wheels) all will be left is the paint job...
